Planning Ahead: When to Book Seasonal Styling for Each Holiday
One of the best ways to make your home feel warm, inviting, and memorable is through seasonal styling. Whether it’s creating a cozy fall atmosphere, a festive holiday wonderland, or a bright spring refresh, planning ahead ensures you get the look you want without last-minute stress.
When it comes to seasonal styling, everyone is different. Some people love to start decorating months in advance for a holiday, while others wait until the very last minute. Both approaches are completely normal, but here’s the challenge: seasonal styling, especially for full-home projects, is very difficult to schedule at the last minute.
That’s why we always recommend scheduling 2 to 3 months in advance, even if you’re not quite sure what your exact style or vision will be. Securing your date ahead of time guarantees that you’ll be on our calendar, and we can finalize the details as the holiday gets closer. Think of it as reserving your spot at the table. Your design plan can evolve, but your date will be locked in.
Another reason to plan ahead is that we offer custom items that are specially sourced or made for your home. These details, whether it’s a one-of-a-kind centerpiece, custom garland, or a tailored tablescape, take time to design, create, and deliver. Early booking allows us to bring those custom touches to life without feeling rushed.
Here’s a helpful guide for when to book styling for each holiday:
Fall and Thanksgiving
When to book: By early September
Why: Fall décor sets the tone for the season. Booking in early September ensures you’ll have a styled home by the time pumpkins, harvest tones, and cozy textures come into play. Thanksgiving gatherings are also a big focus, so planning ahead allows you to enjoy your home while entertaining.

Christmas and Winter Holidays
When to book: By October
Why: December is one of the busiest times of year for both designers and vendors. By booking in October, you’ll secure your preferred date for installation and avoid limited availability on décor or custom pieces. Early planning also means you can enjoy the holiday magic throughout the entire season, not just for a couple of weeks.

Easter, Spring, and Summer
When to book: By early March
Why: These seasons are all about fresh energy, cheerful gatherings, and outdoor entertaining. Booking by early March ensures your home is ready for Easter celebrations, spring updates, and summer get-togethers. From florals and pastels to breezy summer accents, styling in advance helps you enjoy the season to its fullest.
